In the Christian Science church our pastor is the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the textbook written by Mary Baker Eddy.

The church was originally established to commemorate the word and works of Christ Jesus. 

"Mary Baker Eddy established her church to awaken human consciousness to the understanding of man's inseparable relationship with God; the natural result of that understanding is healing." [The Christian Healer p.]

The Bible is at the heart of this book. Science and Health does not replace the Bible. It unlocks the spiritual healing message contained within its pages. Jesus meant for us to demonstrate this beautiful healing and bring it forward into today’s world. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
